Baselworld 2018
Baselworld 2018, the first edition after the centenary of the world jewel and watch fair in Basel, has now come to an end and every exhibitor is ready to draw conclusions.
The official press releases highlight an increase in visitors of + 8% and To Be packing has once again proved to be one of the leading companies in the packaging and display area.
We have seen an increase in contacts from Switzerland, a country that has always been difficult to gain and keep, and a reconfirmation of customers from countries in Northern Europe such as Belgium and the Netherlands. In general, the clientele is however heterogeneous and transversal to all the countries of the world.
New products have been presented both in the packaging and in the display sector. Elements with soft and classic shapes but revisited in a To Be packing key.
Among these, the Portofino window was much appreciated: a showcase with a classic but contemporary design, made of a brass structure and covered with a quilted fabric and with the possibility of inserting modular couvettes.
Another new element is the back, which is also quilted and equipped with two side sliding grilles. The possibility of choosing the graphics of both the back and the grids makes this article very popular. Quilted fabrics and geometric patterns are the main theme of these new collections.
Alcantara is reconfirmed to be the material preferred by customers thanks to the addition of new colors in our palette.
One of the strengths of the company is precisely the ability to customize the elements according to customer needs.
Great success also for the lacquered wood couvette world, such as watch boxes.
We are opening up even more to the world of woodworking with the possibility of full-scale customization thanks to the growing interest of our customers.
Our To Be Wood joinery is increasingly gaining a pivotal role within our company, a role that we will deepen and broaden attending the exhibition for watch and jewelery specialists EPHJ from 12 to 15 June in Geneva.
